Shearwater Peregrine Adventures Edition Dark Dive Computer

The Shearwater Peregrine Adventures Edition Dark presents the Peregrine dive computer in a dark finish, supplied with a strap and shock cord matched to that colour. It is a multi-gas dive computer that is easy to get to grips with, designed for the recreational diver who wants a clear, direct instrument without giving up the functions of a full decompression computer.

A distinct Dark edition

The Adventures Edition Dark stands out through its trim: the dark colour is carried by the supplied strap and shock cord, coordinated with the finish. The electronics, the screen and the firmware remain shared across the Peregrine family; only the visual identity and the matching accessories define this version, for the diver who prefers a discreet set-up on the wrist.

Colour screen and readability

The display is a colour LCD screen of 5,59 cm (2,2"), with a resolution of 320 x 240 QVGA. The generous diagonal and the contrast of the colour display make depth, time and stop information instantly readable underwater. Navigation relies on two buttons, which keeps moving through the menus simple, even while wearing gloves.

Depth, gases and modes

The Peregrine is rated to a nominal depth of 120 m (394 pi). It handles up to 3 open-circuit gases and offers Air, Nitrox, Nitrox 3-gas and Gauge modes, covering the bulk of recreational practice and multi-mix nitrox diving. As a decompression computer, it calculates stops and no-stop time throughout the dive.

Battery and wireless charging

Power comes from an internal rechargeable Li-ion battery (factory replaceable), with a capacity of about 3,4 Wh. Stated battery life reaches up to 30 hours at medium brightness. Charging is done through a wireless charging dock, supplied with a USB-C cable, which avoids any connector exposed to corrosion on the housing.

Connectivity and dive log

The wireless Bluetooth link lets you sync dives and update the upgradeable firmware. The dive log holds up to 200 hours or 96 dive entries at a 10-second sampling rate. Vibration alerts complement the on-screen indications to flag important events during the dive.

Construction and box contents

The housing is made of ballistic nylon polymer, for a tough yet light package: the computer weighs 122 g and measures 77 mm x 68 mm x 25 mm. The silicone strap is fitted with a stainless steel clasp. The box includes the Peregrine dive computer, the wireless charging dock with USB-C cable, an inspection control card, a product information guide, a screen protector, a silicone strap and, for the Adventures Dark edition, a standard strap and a colour-coordinated shock cord.
