Technical Specifications

  • Fittings: 3/8" UNF Male (first stage LP port) × 9/16" UNF Female (second stage inlet) — universal standard fitting
  • Working pressure: 35 bar

Applications and Length Guide

The Miflex Xtreme LP Blue suits recreational divers upgrading from ageing rubber hoses, technical divers optimising multi-hose configurations on doubles or sidemount rigs, and dive centres seeking a reliable, long-service hose for rental equipment. Its flexibility under pressure makes it particularly effective in overhead environments — cave diving, wreck penetration and rebreather dives where hose routing clearance is limited. Compatible with the vast majority of first stages accepting a standard 3/8" UNF LP port fitting.

Which length to choose?

  • 45-60 cm: short second stage on standard single cylinder — compact, no excess hose, suits smaller frames
  • 75-100 cm: recreational standard length for single cylinder — clean routing, ideal for most divers
  • 100-120 cm: doubles or sidemount rig — increased distance from first stage to second stage without tension
  • 150-210 cm: technical long hose for cave and wreck penetration — passed over the left shoulder for air sharing in emergency per GUE/DIR protocol

Key Benefits

  • Kink-proof at any angle: the nylon braid dynamically tightens under pressure, eliminating air-blocking kinks even when tied in a knot — critical reliability for technical divers in confined spaces
  • Three times the service life of conventional rubber hoses according to Miflex endurance data — directly reduces replacement costs for dive centres and frequent divers
  • 7:1 burst safety margin: minimum 250 bar burst pressure against 35 bar working pressure — structural integrity well beyond EN250 requirements
  • 30 factory tests per hose plus date coding: individual traceability from production lot to every dive — useful for technical divers logging equipment service history
  • Blue colour for instant identification: in complex sidemount or double-tank configurations with multiple hoses, blue immediately identifies the primary regulator feed — supports safe pre-dive buddy checks
  • Lightweight and flexible vs rubber: significantly lighter than rubber equivalents, reducing torque on your first stage valve and improving trim and buoyancy balance

Certifications and Warranty

The Miflex Xtreme LP Regulator Hose Blue is certified to EN250:2014, the European standard governing open-circuit self-contained compressed air diving apparatus and their components. Each hose undergoes more than 30 individual safety tests at the Miflex factory in Gorizia, Italy, and carries an individual Miflex logo marking and date code for full production traceability. MIFLEX covers this hose against manufacturing and material defects under its standard commercial warranty. Before each dive, visually inspect the hose for cuts, abrasion or deformed fittings; replace immediately if any damage is found. Annual regulator servicing by a qualified technician is recommended for all breathing systems.

For guidance on scuba equipment inspection and servicing standards, refer to the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) equipment guidelines.
