Terms & Conditions →Founded in 2012 and manufacturing in Verona, Italy, DTEK produces made-to-measure drysuits for technical and recreational diving. The neoprene crotch strap upgrade (ref. 18969) is a factory option sewn directly into the suit during production. It addresses a practical issue well-known among DPV divers and tech harness users: the crotch strap of a BC, back-plate harness or sidemount system creates persistent abrasion against the suit seam during every dive, progressively weakening the material and causing chafing for the diver.
This upgrade is particularly suited to DPV divers whose crotch strap crosses the suit seam area, technical divers using sidemount or back-plate double-cylinder harnesses, wreck and cave explorers on extended dives where prolonged contact intensifies wear patterns, and cold-water recreational divers using a weight belt over a drysuit. The 1 mm neoprene layer is stitched flush against the inner face of the crotch area and sealed watertight with Aquasure glue. It adds negligible bulk, preserving full range of motion while forming an effective barrier between the strap and the suit material.
