Terms & Conditions →The tube format is not an aesthetic choice — it is a functional response to the geometry of vertical caving. The bag is fabricated in Cholet (Maine-et-Loire, France) from 1100 dTex varnished PVC canvas at 900 g/m², the most abrasion-resistant fabric in the AV range, designed to scrape limestone and sandstone walls without wearing through.
Designed primarily for caving expeditions in Britain's classic systems — Yorkshire Dales, Peak District, South Wales karst — where vertical pitches and tight meanders demand gear that moves with the caver, not against them. The 40 L capacity suits full-day rigging carries, while the Hypalon-reinforced base handles the scraping that any kit bag accumulates on a long wet pitch. Also suited to rope access (material transport), underground dive operations (oxygen cylinder transport) and technical canyoning in wet environments.
AV range positioning: the 30 L tube (AVSP35) is the lightweight prospecting companion; the 40 L (AVSP36) targets full-day expeditions with rope and rigging kit; the 45 L (AVSP32) covers multi-day stays and group equipment carries.
