Terms & Conditions →For caving schools, clubs and adventure parks fitting a wide variety of body shapes — from teenagers to large-build adults — a sit harness with a generous adjustment range is more practical than a tightly fitted personal model. The MURUCK answers exactly that brief: a 55 to 125 cm waist range across its four sizes makes it a daily-driver teaching harness rather than a niche size-specific product.
The MURUCK comes in 4 sizes, each identified by an integrated colour mark. The choice is based on two morphological criteria: waist circumference and leg loop circumference, measured while standing relaxed.
| Size | Waist | Leg loops | Marking | EAN13 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| XS-M | 55-75 cm | 45-60 cm | yellow | 3760142631063 |
| M-L *(default)* | 55-105 cm | 40-70 cm | blue | 3760142631070 |
| XL | 55-125 cm | 50-85 cm | purple | 3760142631087 |
| XXL | > 105 cm (to confirm with manufacturer) | > 70 cm (to confirm) | to confirm | 3760142637379 |
If your measurements fall in an overlap zone (for example waist 55-75 cm valid for both XS-M and M-L), choose the size that places your dimensions in the middle of the adjustment range rather than at an extreme — the final fit will be more stable and more comfortable under prolonged suspension.
Cave exploration and rope progression (SRT — Single Rope Technique), club teaching and caving school programmes, group equipping for adventure parks and canyoning organisations. The MURUCK is especially valued as a teaching and rental harness thanks to its wide morphological range: the same harness can fit successively a teenager and a large-build adult.
The AVENTURE VERTICALE MURUCK caving sit harness is a personal protective equipment (PPE) of Category III. It must be visually inspected before each use by the user and undergo a thorough examination by a competent person at a frequency defined by local regulations or manufacturer recommendations (typically at least every 12 months).
For UK and English-speaking practice, see the British Caving Association (BCRA / BCA) for instructor-grade equipment guidance, and the Fédération Française de Spéléologie for the original French federal recommendations and NF S72-701 standard.
